Tributary Hotel

The historic Taylor Hardware building in McMinnville, Oregon, needed a major seismic retrofit in preparation for the next phase of its life as a luxury hotel and underground bar. Starting in the basement and working our way up, we added steel columns, beams and strong backs to support the unreinforced masonry. Now called the Tributary Hotel, the 100-year-old building is a world-class destination.

With the extraordinary vineyard setting and Mt. Hood in the distance, the design of this custom home called for unobstructed views to the East. Steel columns and moment frames provide the structure necessary to support the wall of windows and covered lanai that connect the eye to this landscape from anywhere in the house.
Falcon Cove

Set on a hillside that was slowly sinking, this design-forward residential project on the Oregon Coast presented some unique challenges. Together with the contractor and architect, our team worked through each one as we fabricated the structural frames, stairs, and supports for the deck and railings. For the exterior railings, we used marine grade stainless steel to prevent corrosion from the salty sea air.
